HOW DO YOU CARE?

The source of all caring is God's love. It is not God's will that persons should feel alone and trapped in their hurt. It is God's will that in the midst of pain and struggle persons will have hope for a better future and will discover resources in their faith that will enable them to learn and grow from their experiences. Persons, who have themselves experienced God's care in the midst of pain, becomes channels through which God's love and care touch the lives of other people.

A Ministry of Caring

Matthew 25: 35-40 (MKJV)

For I was hungry, and you gave me food; I was thirsty, and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger, and you took Me in;
I was naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.
Then the righteous shall answer Him, saying, Lord, when did we see You hungry, and fed You? Or thirsty, and gave You drink?
When did we see You a stranger, and took You in? Or naked, and clothed You?
Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and came to You?
And the King shall answer and say to them, Truly I say to you, Inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brothers, you have done it to Me
.

Community of Faith

Called by Christ
to Community
to worship, to pray, to learn,
to care,
this
is not a place for us to be
unchanged, safe,
exclusive.

Here
we bring our common brokenness
and blessing:
healing happens
by God's grace,
and our gifts are given
for service.

Here, in Christ's love and compassion
we belong to each other,
here the stranger is welcomed,
and called
friend.
